Especially when our four-legged friends are also invited to join the festivities. Many pets suffer greatly from the noise of fireworks. Most dogs are afraid of the sound of firecrackers and fireworks, causing them stress, suffering, and phobia. That’s why many campsites have decided to do away with pyrotechnics and celebrate a magical summer solstice night where all their guests can be happy.

Camping Stel (Tarragona)
A first-class camping site right on the beach, on the Costa Dorada, located in Roda de Barà. Enjoy San Juan on the beach with luxurious facilities, entertainment, and without fireworks, as Camping Stel does not allow their use within its premises.
Camping Repòs del Pedraforca (Barcelona)
A different San Juan celebration, without fireworks and in the midst of nature, is what this camping site with the best views of Pedraforca offers. Firecrackers and bonfires are prohibited on the premises, making it a perfect option for your pets.
Camping Serra de Prades (Tarragona)
Amidst nature, between the natural parks of Poblet and Montsant, the Sierra de Prades is the ideal place to enjoy a different San Juan with family and pets. The camping site prohibits the use of fireworks within the premises, not only to ensure the tranquility of the guests but also because they have birds in Serra de Prades that should not be subjected to the stress of fireworks.
But despite the absence of fireworks, the party is guaranteed at Serra de Prades. The camping site offers an entertainment program, especially during the day for children, and a San Juan dinner to bring the guests together. After dinner, there is a planned entertainment performance called “Night of Witches,” adapted to Covid-19 protocols.
Camping Enmar (Barcelona)
Located in the center of Pineda de Mar, Camping Enmar de Barcelona is a great option for celebrating a different San Juan with family, especially without fireworks, as the camping strictly prohibits them within its facilities. The campsite features facilities such as pools with slides, a new heated outdoor pool, a restaurant, and an outdoor area in a ‘chill-out’ style.
Camping La Mola (Lleida)
La Mola is a small campsite with ample space, keeping alive the spirit of traditional camping. Nestled in a secluded location in the heart of the Pyrenees, next to the Aigüestortes National Park, Camping La Mola maintains a magical and natural atmosphere. To preserve this ambiance, La Mola prohibits fireworks for San Juan and does not host bonfires or traditional festivities. Camping La Vall Park (Barcelona)
Tranquility with family is the philosophy and goal of Camping La Vall Park, located on the outskirts of Taradell (Osona).
It is a first-class mountain camping site where you can enjoy nature in its purest form. To preserve the tranquility and the essence of the camping site and its surroundings, Camping La Vall Park does not allow fireworks either within the camping grounds or in the surrounding areas.
Camping El Far (Barcelona)
Located on a hill and natural viewpoint overlooking the coastal town of Calella, Camping El Far allows you to enjoy the beauty of the sea and the mountains. An ideal setting to celebrate a night as magical as San Juan, but without fireworks!
The camping site prohibits the use of fireworks, but they prepare a very complete celebration with music, traditional cake (“coca”), and sparkling wine!
Camping Vall de Ribes (Girona)
They refer to the Ribes Valley as a journey to well-being, and indeed, the charm and tranquility of the environment, immersed in pure nature, are unparalleled.
Following this essence, Camping Vall de Ribes prohibits fireworks and offers a unique and family-oriented San Juan celebration where nature takes center stage. Pets are welcome in their facilities, both in the camping area and in some bungalows.
Camping Resort Els Pins (Barcelona)
Ideal for families, couples, and especially for traveling with your pet. For San Juan, they prohibit the use of fireworks within the facilities, but usually, they can be set off around the camping area.
A different celebration for the whole family, where those who want to set off fireworks have the option to do so, and those who don’t can enjoy the tranquility they desire.
Camping Empordà (Girona)
A small and family-friendly camping site in the middle of the Costa Brava. Located near the town of l’Estartit, the beach, and within the Natural Park of Montgrí, the Medes Islands, and the Lower Ter.
Fireworks cannot be set off; it is strictly prohibited. However, at the camping site’s entrance, there is a paved road where children and families are allowed to do so. This year, for the San Juan celebration, they will organize a different and very special show with drones.
Camping Bassegoda Park (Girona)
Family-friendly camping site with first-class bungalows located in Albanyà (Girona), in l’Empordà. They offer a variety of bungalows and accommodations, as well as an entertainment program and activities for the whole family throughout the year.
The exceptional dark sky environment for stargazing will turn your San Juan into an authentically magical night. The use of fireworks and the lighting of fires outside of designated areas is prohibited. The nearest area for fireworks would be in the municipality of Albanyà, which is one kilometer from the camping site.
Camping El Vedado (Barcelona)
El Vedado is located in a historic Natural Park, providing visitors with a natural and peaceful environment on an estate with a private forest, 7 km from Masnou Beach. El Vedado is equipped with bungalows, modern sanitary facilities, alongside a golf course, bar, restaurant, mini-supermarket, pools, and comprehensive sports facilities (tennis, football field, basketball, volleyball, table tennis, hiking, and mountain biking).
For San Juan, the use of fireworks is prohibited. At El Vedado, you can enjoy a different and tranquil celebration surrounded by nature.
Camping L’Ombra
A small, peaceful camping site near the beach, open all year round. It features a pool, bar, and a store. Located in Llançà, near Cap de Creus, Sant Pere De Rodes, and the Sierra de la Albera, it’s an idyllic natural setting for a unique San Juan celebration without fireworks, as the camping site prohibits them.
Their proposal to celebrate the shortest night of the year is to have an open-air dinner with “pan con tomate” (bread with tomato) and cold cuts, “coca de San Juan” (a traditional pastry), and a glass of cava (available by order).
