Camping lovers, you are in luck! In 2025, 12 Catalan campsites have earned the prestigious ADAC Superplätz award, the highest recognition in the European camping sector.
The ADAC Superplätz classification is awarded annually by specialised inspectors who visit campsites all over Europe. These professionals evaluate different aspects such as sanitary facilities, quality of the grounds, gastronomic offer, leisure activities and bathing options.
In addition, around 250 evaluation points are collected during the inspections, following criteria that are unified at European level. Only those campsites that exceed the required standards and achieve an above-average score are awarded the prestigious ADAC 5-star rating.
This year, Catalonia has reaffirmed its position as a reference destination for campers. Of the 17 award-winning Spanish campsites, 12 are located in Catalonia, and we present them below:

These campsites stand out for their excellent services and facilities. First of all, they offer modern and clean sanitary spaces, spectacular swimming pools, activities for the whole family and a quality gastronomic offer. In addition, some of them also have direct access to paradisiacal beaches or are located in privileged natural settings.
With 12 recognised campsites, Catalonia consolidates its leadership as an ideal destination for camping lovers.
During the gala, the Salatà campsite in Roses received the PiNCAMP 2025 Award, which distinguishes it as the best in Europe in digitisation, a prestigious award presented by the ADAC. This award highlights the establishment’s efforts to move towards an intelligent and innovative management. In total, the Salatà campsite has 171 pitches and 56 bungalows.
In addition to the Roses campsite, two other Catalan campsites were finalists in different categories of the PiNCAMP 2025 Awards. On the one hand, the Camping & Resort Sangulí de Salou was a finalist in the category of Sustainability and Environmental Awareness, also recognised by the ADAC. On the other hand, the Playa Montroig Camping Resort stood out as a finalist in the category of Camping of the Year Abroad, an award that was granted by the ANWB.
